At the 8th february the 2014 Equinics will be hold in Vermont. And the City-Race Residency will join with a team of up to 32 runners . Now we have to organize our team. I am very hopefully that we will find good racers to bring some honor to our player community.
Please check out your stables to find the best ones to represent the Rhein-Main Turf Club. All suggestions can be made here on the messageboard, or by E-Mail.
I built a new Website were u can see the Team and all Races. You find it under Equinics. Equinics and with a click you will find a race & runner list.
The Deadline for OUR Nomination is the 14. Januay 2014 . We have to sent our final Team list at the 19.th january.
I wish you all a nice run up to Chrismas and a happy Holiday
The EQUINICS sign up deadline has passed and the 17 residencies on this link have signed up. Good luck to everybody. (Taffy - I need a link to your website, for the Residency page, thanks.)
We have enough donations to do the initial race buy - thanks to those who have sponsored - we are still looking for donations to round out the prize monies. The credit account is equinics, and all donations are appreciated.
The race conditions are those as listed in the FAQs (WINTER EQUINICS - no 2 year olds) and I hope to buy the races this weekend and start getting the banners and individual race pages set up.
I should have the mainb race page opened by the end of the weekend.
The theme for this Equinics is SIM Tributes, and each race page will have a paragraph explaining the specific tribute being paid; the two main categories are SIM horses and SIM players. So for example, one race will be a tribute to Horse Hall Of Fame members, another will be Eclipse Winners, and there will be some categories that folks should be able to have some fun with (ie. The Greatest Horse I Never Owned) and so on and so on until I reach the magic number of 32. All members of the SIM community will be able to add to those categories that are not cast in concrete (ie. Helpful Players; My Best Horse Ever;) As I said, this will make more sense as people start getting into it.
Diary and Torch run - I am up against the wall this year so I am not planning out a torch run, or coordinating diary entries. I think the best way to go with this is simply ask each residency to prepare an independent BTB article about their residency with the theme of carrying the torch through their turf. We tend to have a problem when we set up a schedule as some residencies sort of forget and stuff like that, and then the next residency gets hung up. We will give it a shot of doing it this way this time around and fix it in the future, if we have to. For those doing a BTB article please put Equinics Torch Run in your diary entry title.
Jan 19 is the deadline to get me your runners and I will post the passwords on the 20th so anyone doing an article has time to look at the fields. Mike will convert the races to Grade I sometime after Jan 01.
I believe you have all been through this at least once and there is not too much unique this time around so things should go smooth, but if you have any questions, concerns, or issues let me know soonest and we will get them fixed.
please do not hesitate to nominate also horses for those categories already having a Nomination. For example Nicky's PANZER Looks better than our nominees in the 4yo+turf 8/10f category.
As for giving you a hint for the 3yo races, SIM TOGETHER who once won an equinics Gold for City-Race ran 4th in a 6f Turf stakes Dec.2001 with a Speed figure of 85...next race he won in February 2002 the Gold medal for our residency with a sf of 100. So please take a Close look at your improving 2yo;)
Thanks, NEURUPPIN 4 AND UP - OPEN - 6 TURF is also linked wrong.
Update on my horses: Pranzo may be a possible scratch, he dissapointed in his last.
Frankel At Sea is on track winning an 8f allowance with sf 95, at the Moment he is a bit groggy...most likely he will straight Train for equinics as his next goal!
